Residency in the UAE through marriage

If an Emirati person marries a foreigner, the UAE resident will be granted to that foreigner. If an Emirati man chooses a foreign woman as his wife, the foreign woman can apply for permanent residence or citizenship of the UAE after receiving a 3-year residency and marriage lasts until then, but if a foreign man marries an Emirati woman, citizenship will not be granted to the man. and he can extend his 3-year temporary residence for 3 years if the marriage lasts.

Keep in mind that a foreign woman can obtain permanent UAE citizenship only when she has withdrawn from her previous citizenship, and the UAE government does not accept dual citizenship.

If the marriage is registered outside the UAE, the identity and marriage documents must be verified through the UAE embassy in the country concerned.

According to the law, if a woman supporting her husband stays in the UAE, she must be employed as a teacher, doctor, engineer, nurse, or one of the medical professions, and her monthly salary should not be less than 10,000 dirhams or 8,000 dirhams with the place of residence.

If an Emirati husband sponsors a foreign woman, his minimum monthly salary should not be less than 4000 dirhams or 3000 dirhams including accommodation.

The validity of residence in the UAE through marriage is usually two years, which can be extended for the duration of the marriage, provided that the visa or residence of the sponsor of the other family members of the family has not been revoked.

It is possible to extend the residence visa through Dubai marriage for two years.
