In 2009, the design of the Dubai frame was selected as the winner of the international architectural competition of the ThyssenKrupp elevator among 926 designs. The participants had to present a design that would reflect the new face of Dubai. The design of the Dubai Frame, which is located near the Star Gate of Zabeel Park in Dubai, has a height of 150 meters and a width of 105 meters.

Dubai frame is made of glass, steel, aluminum and reinforced concrete. This frame is placed in such a way that the symbols of modern Dubai can be seen on one side, and on the other side, visitors can see the old parts of Dubai. This frame was opened in January 2018.
