Preparation of documents

First, you need to get an official translation of your marriage certificate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of origin, the UAE Embassy in the country of origin and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE (MOFAIC).

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs of Dubai has prepared a list of documents required to apply for a spouse visa:

4) Certified marriage certificate

Visa process

Apply for a visa in any way, the process of obtaining a visa is as follows:

1) Creating a sponsorship file: First, you must provide your details and information as a sponsor so that a file can be created for you in the immigration system. This is your sponsorship file.

2) Application for entry permit: Then you must apply for entry permit for your spouse. Having an entry permit, your spouse can travel to the UAE to complete the visa process.

3) Status change: If your spouse is already in the UAE, you must first apply for an entry permit and then enter the status change process.

Medical test

Once your spouse’s visa process is completed, you must go to a medical testing center covered by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and undergo a medical test.
